Sam Gbafa
Hey! I'm Sam Gbafa. I'm a technologist, systems architect, network philosopher, tinkerer, writer and a Ghanaian-American 🇬🇭.
I have experience doing AI research, building cryptographically secure systems, building verifiable, private systems, scaling software systems, developing open-source software, developing technical standards, and more.
I'm currently the Founder and CEO of TinyCloud, a company building at the intersection of AI and Crypto. TinyCloud's mission is to let users control their data like they control their crypto.
Most recently, I was a Sr. Software Engineer at SpruceID, where I focused on architecting systems for verifiable identity and data using a broad array of cryptographic technologies, from Attestations to ZK Proofs.
Other stuff I like to think about and tinker with include information theory, history, politics, macroeconomics, environmental sustainability, distributed solar power, drones, and flight.
I also enjoy staring at clouds/storms and thinking deeply about their aerodynamics.
When I'm not on my computer or laughing at silly tweets/memes, I enjoy cycling, climbing, hiking, and most reasons to be outside. If you visit Black Rock City, you can catch me at What the Duck.
Feel free to reach out to me at any of the links below!
